As CEO and President of Sky Bahamas, Mr. Randy Butler is responsible for the company’s day-to-day management. Under his leadership, the airline has expanded operations and given back over two million dollars through community initiatives, donations and assistance with the development of our youth and nation. Butler is the recipient of the 2010 Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, 2011 Grand Bahama Christian Council Visionary Leadership Award and the 2010 National Cacique Award for Transportation. Most recently, he was the recipient of the 2014 Bahamian Icon Awards for Entrepreneurship. He holds United States of America, Canadian and Bahamas Airline Transport Pilot Licenses (ATP) with type-ratings on Boeing 737 Jet, Dash 8, Cessna Citation Jet, Beechcraft 1900, SAAB 340 and seaplane aircraft. As an FAA-certified Pilot Instructor and Examiner, Butler, in 1996, became the first Bahamian practicing in the Bahamas to be designated by the Civil Aviation Authority (UK) as a Pilot Examiner. He also served as Manager of Public Safety for The Nassau Development Company (NAD) with responsibility for the day-today safety of all users of the Lynden Pindling International Airport.
